In general, the ideology of myths and legends is a very important and integral part of historical events and plays a major role in history in general. No one is ever the same. Look, for example, at the Boston Tea Party or Abraham Lincoln. His idea that all men were equal and brought about the emancipation of slavery made him a legend. The whole idea of a clever red-blooded man who fought for human rights and was president of the United States had a huge impact around the world. With the Statue of Liberty, his idea is unforgettable. When  it comes to mythology, everyone can choose to believe in mythological events or not to respect the essence of the myth. It can be called a superstition or a tradition. Folk dances, barn dances, and myths like finding your future spouse hiding behind mistletoe were part of various beliefs about meeting your perfect soulmate. It is a long story or what we call folklore for many adherents of a particular myth, such as everyday situation...
